Oh Christmas Tree!

This is Our Christmas tree this year! I have been begging Gio for a few weeks to let me put it up and he said i had to wait until Thanksgiving. I couldn't!!! We were watching TV on Sunday evening and I felt really lazy, I wanted to do something productive but the only thing I could think of was to clean my disaster of a house. I really was not motivated to do that so instead I made a bigger mess and ripped out all my Christmas decorations! I was up until 2 in the morning decorating the tree! Although Gio wanted me to wait another week he decided to be supportive and force himself to stay awake while he watched me fuss with the tree! I would have prefered his support in helping me clean up the mess but oh well! He thinks that I'm a little crazy wanting to decorate so soon but it gets you in that holiday mood! Plus I don't ever remember a Thanksgiving at my house without the christmas tree up, So as my Mother would put it, "That's how I was raised!" Christmas to me is the best part of the year, it is the season of giving and it's when our family is the closest! You can't get better than that. (I also get 10 days off this year! I can't wait...no work woohoo!)

Back To School!!!

So Gio and I have decided to head back to school! I never imagined that this would happen and I've been telling myself that I would never go back but I enrolled and it's official!
It all started this summer when a couple of my co-workers were signing up for fall classes and talking about how many credits they had. I brought up the fact that I had went to school for 4 years and I and still no degree. We looked up my credits and I had 121 and most degrees only need about 126. My friend Maddie ripped me a new one and told me that I was completely stupid if I didn't finish. I started thinking about it and she was right. I went and talked to an advisor and because I had only taken a couple of upper-level courses I would need about 45 credits to graduate with a bachelors in psychology.
Realistically that could be done in 3 semesters maybe 4 if I don't pass so that is what I'll be doing for the next year! I decided that doing it now while we are still childless would be best.
Gio talked to me about going back about 6 weeks ago. He really wanted to take some photography and business classes so that he could do his own photo shoots and better the business. He asked me if it would be a good idea of he went part-time at the school and focused more on the business and going to school. I think it will be a great thing for him to be able to spend more time at the salon, get his education to better the buisness and himself. The great thing about it is that he will be only working 2 days a week at the school, going to school 3 days a week, and working more hours at the salon and he will be making more money than if he didn't go to school at all. He recieved the GI Bill from the military so his school will be paid for and he will be getting a cost of living check each month so that he can focus more on school work! We are both a little nervous to get back into the school thing but also very excited. I think that it will give us something better to focus on besides our jobs that we both love so much right now! Wish Us Luck!

Gio and I opened a hair salon about 18 months ago. It's a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon. It is very edgy and modern so both Men and Women feel really comfortable here! Gio is very picky about making things universal. Since he is the one running the business he made sure it would be a place he would feel comfortable working all day. Gio loves his career and is very passionate about what he does. He keeps himself well educated and loves learning new techniques. If you want to check out the salon you can click on the logo to the side or go to our website www.gianniinternational.com and take a virtual tour, check out phot shoots, and also look at pricing!

The BOILS are Back in Town! :(

This is Gio once again at the hospital with a Boil on his Bum!

For those of you who hadn't heard about 6 weeks ago Gio had a Boil about the size of a dime on his left cheek. It was very painful and he had to have it lanced and packed with gauze every other day for about 2 1/2 weeks. It left a healthy scar and now it has resurfaced. Although this one is not ad big it is still just as painful and he is very afraid he will be cut open again. We think we caught it early enough but only time will tell. For now he has a swollen tender bum and is on anti-biotics to kill the bacteria. Poor Stinky :(

Our 1st Anniversary!

I can't believe that our 1st year of marriage has come and gone already! We made it through what everyone says is the hardest so I can't wait to see what is ahead of us in the future!

We Went to Tucanos for out Anniversary Dinner. Gio had to teach night school that night so while he was gone I decided to get dressed up a little fancier than normal! I knew that would make him happy because I would much rather be in my tee-shirt and jeans!

Smooch!

Bite!

Eskimo Kisses!!

Gio's new Hoodie!

Gio was so excited about is new ties he bought while we were in SLC. I think it's funny because for the first 3 years we dated we got in fights about him wearing ties to church and now he wears them almost everyday... go figure!

Me Showing off me new shoes, shirt, and jacket we bought at the outlet stores in Park City!

Gio suprised me for our anniversary and took me to Park City overnight. He thought it would be romantic to walk the streets and look in all the shops because it was something we had never done. We checked in and went down to Main Street for dinner. After dinner we started our trek up and down the street. To our suprise NOTHING was open (except the bar and a couple of clubs!) Who knew that Park City shut down at 7pm! We decided to explore other parts of town we went over to the outlets and were able to go into 3 stores before they too closed. Gio was getting a little annoyed because his romantic night wasn't going as planned! I thought it was funny. We eventually came across a movie theater, surely they would have a movie playing it was only 9pm. We checked the times and low and behold, 7:30 was the last showing! Cold Stone was right next to the theater and they were actually open so we stopped in got ice cream and went back to our room. We ended up paying $12 to rent a movie and watch it in bed! The next day we went back to the shops and went to downtown SLC to a movie and dinner. Even though it wasn't as Gio planned we laughed alot and had an awesome weekend together! I love him so much!!!

Haloween!

For Halloween we went to a party at our friend Krysynt's house. It was alot of fun we had games for the kids to play and Junior came up with a haunted house to scare all the kids! It was a little mean to terrify all of them but it was hilarious to watch! Gio and I had last minute costumes if you can't tell, I was a Hippie and he was a Cheerleader! Yes, that is really his cheer sweater from high school!!! Oh Gio!!!

St. George with the Girls!

Two weeks ago I went to St. George with my Mom and Sisters, except Rachel who is in Denver :( We did ALOT of shopping, we went to Thriller, and we also did the SAVE-A-SISTER breast cancer 5k run (or walk for me!) it was a great cause and we had a lot of fun doing it. I can't wait until out next girls weekend!
