SHYANN'S BIRTHDAY BBQ!

We went to My Moms on Shyanns birthday and had a big BBQ with the family. We had such a good time!

Grandpa bought the girls bubbles and Gabi was in heaven walking around popping them!

The boys got these rocket launchers!

I'm not sure why but she kept walking around like a zombie! she is so funny!

Gabi loves to talk and she was carrying quite the conversation with Great Grandma Hreinson! It was the cutest thing ever! I had a video of it too which I'm so glad that I will be able to show her someday!

THE 4th of JULY!

We didn't have any specific plans on the 4th so we headed to my moms house and picked up some Purple Turtle on the way. Gabi looked so cute that we took lots of pics that day!

I had to post a few pics of Gio when he was in the Marines! Look how handsome he is in that uniform! I am so proud of everything that he has done and being part of the Marine Corps. I am also very thankful that he was out of the military before I met him, I'm not sure that I would make a very good military wife!

Britt and Koda told us about this awesome Sno Shack in  alpine, they have THE BEST shaved ice ever! We sat on the grass and watched all the fire fighters driving up the mountain trying to stop the massive fire that started a few days before.

So patriotic!

       

We cant go to grandmas all day and not go to the park and swing!

That night we had a BBQ and decided to sit in the backyard and watch the fireworks being lite across the mountain side instead of dealing with all the crowds at a firework show, It was a little ironic to watch since the mountain was literally on fire, you can see the glow of it in the picture with the fireworks being lite below.

FIRST BLACK EYE :(

Gabi got her first black eye, i wasn't feeling well so I was laying on the couch, Gabi came running down the hall and tripped, she fell had and smacked her eye on the corner of a wooden block. The pic above was immediately after and the one below was the next morning. She had a good shiner for about 3 weeks.

GIO'S CAR...

Gio's jeep finally died :( it had been such a good car. Over the last year or two it was having problems leaking antifreeze. it had never over heated and he just made sure he kept his fluid filled. One night he called me because it was overheating and I knew that the leaking antifreeze was part of the problem. He was able to get it home but didn't want to drive it, he towed it to the shop do do a diagnostic and they weren't able to perform the full thing because they found a crack in the radiator. His dad said he could replace it, so we bought the parts and found out that the water pump was also bad. After 3 weeks his dad finally finished everything and drove it around to make sure everything was working, and it over heated again. I knew at that point that the head gaskets were blown. He towed it back to the shop and sure enough I was right. Because of the engine in his model of jeep it would have cost us more than $2500 to fix, his car wasn't worth much more than that so we decided to sell it for parts. I was freaking out because money is so tight already and now we had to figure out another car payment some how. We were able to get $995 for his jeep, way more than I expected. We went searching for a decent used car for a decent price but we were very disappointed in the selection. Gio has wanted a Scion XB for a while so that he could put his Salon logo all over it, We test drove them and found that we could Lease it for less that what we would pay for a used car, The re-sell on them is really good and so we couldn't pass it up.

I have actually really liked it so far and it has a lot of cool features, its really spacious and it will be the perfect car to take on our road trip in September! Gio is so happy to have a Brand New Car, it had been 12 years since he bought his Jeep, so I guess it was time!

24th of JULY!

We both had the day off and decided to go to the matinee showing of Dark Knight Rising, I was a Little nervous because of the shooting that happened in Colorado the week before at the opening showing of that movie and wasn't very excited to go, but it was a really good movie, and thankfully no crazies were in the theater, after the movie we picked up Gabi from gios parents house and went to wash the car, Gabi thought the car wash was sooo funny! She was giggling like crazy! I love the top left picture, she was covering her eyes laughing from excitement! haha

Later that night we headed over to the Spanish Fork Fiesta days, Gio saw a few kids with Bubble Guns and was determined to find one and buy one for Gabi! I think he liked it more than she did! I love days that we can hang out just the three of us!

DOMINIC TURNS 2!

Gabi and Dominic are so cute together! They play really well together and are always hugging and kissing each other! He is so protective of Gabi and it is so sweet watching the two of them together.

We went to Gios moms for a big BBQ birthday party and the kids had a blast! We of course had a pinata because it wouldn't be a Mexican birthday with out one! Gabi even hit it and did really well! She was in heaven being outside but it was REALLY HOT and she was bright red!

We decided to let them run through the sprinklers to cool off, Gabi loved it! she would just lay on the cement splashing in the water and laughing!

That was the biggest highlights for the month, I will try to be better about updating more often, but its really hard to be motivated when there is some many other things to do!
