Cousins!

Gabi got to spend lots of time with her cousins this weekend. She is really starting to want to be more involved with them, I watch her study them and its like the wheels in her head are turning a million miles a minute trying to figure out how to catch up with them! I love how social she is becoming and as sad as i get that shes growing so fast im really looking forward for this next stage in her development.

Gabi and Dominic playing ball together!

They actually took turns really well!

Sharing Snacks too!

Dominic loves pushing Gabi around in the walker! Its hilareous!

Eating cupakes!

Emery enjoyed that cupcake too!

Trev wanted to sit in the box too but couldnt fit so he settled for the edge! he looks like he's sitting on the toilet!

We love cousins!

Sleep Over with Grandma and Grandpa!

Gabi had a sleepover this weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Hreinson. Gio left for Las Vegas early Saturday morning and I had to work so it worked out better to just have her stay over. I think she enjoyed herself and I know Grandma, Grandpa, Brittany and Dakotah did thats for sure! These are just a few pictures that they sent to me while I was working!

Gabi found the treat basket!

This was right before bed, having a little snack but clearly pretty tired!

Good Morning Kisses to Mom!

Look how big she looks! not only the toddler PJs but shes so smart trying to get those smarties opened!

First time in the grass... she kept lifting her legs you could tell is was tickling her!

I'm a "big girl" Grandpa!

She had such a good time with Grandpa outside!
Grandpa took her for a walk and took her on the swings at the park by there house! Such a good grandpa!

Thanks for all the fun Grandpa and Grandma!!! Im sure she had plenty of treats, giggles, and more than enough attention! But thats what grandparents are for right!

Gabi's Heart

Gabi had her follow up cardiology appointment yesterday. We had her heart checked multiple times while she was in the hospital, especially while she was on ECMO, and every thing looked good for the most part. They were concerned with a small whole but said that it would most likely close on its own once all the swelling and fluid went away. We took her to see Dr. Gray at Primary Children's last year when she was about 2 1/2 months old and everything looked great. he took her off oxygen, (that we never used because it was such a small amount and she would tangle herself in the cords when she slept. she hadn't been on it for over a week at the hospital but the night before she came home the nurse said she dropped in her sats twice in the night and went right back up... well she is a wiggly sleeper and always pulled on her leads so i wasn't worried about it!) anyway last year when we had her checked they wanted to see her again in a year to be sure everything was still looking great.

Gabi did so great yesterday! She had to have an EKG which is shown in the pictures, she didn't make a peep. Even when they ripped off the sticky tape things they stuck to her! She also had an Echo cardiogram which is basically an ultra sound of her heart. Both tests came out perfect! I was very relieved and even better we don't have to go back again! Unless of course something happened or if she had issues with her pulmonary hypertension again and the Dr felt it was necessary. The only thing Dr gray noticed was a small heart murmur that we have known about, but it is very small and comes and goes so they aren't worried about it. It is pretty common apparently.

( Look how sweet she is, holding my hand!)

After all we went through with Gabi when she was born I am so grateful that she is growing healthy and hasn't had any other major health issues, I hope and Pray that it stays that way! We have many more tests and things to start checking for in the next year to make sure we are on top of any other issues we may face. At times its over-whelming a bit. Not only the chances of finding something but also the financial burden the medical bills piling up have become... as soon as we finished paying her bills from when she was born, it was one thing after another at our house and I don't know if we will ever be free of them, I sure hope so though! It is worth having us healthy and preventing anything bad in the future. I know the lord has blessed us beyond words and will continue to watch over us. That is such a great comfort and helps me get through everyday. I really try not to focus on the money part, i have my days that I'm full of anxiety about it, but in the end it has all worked out and we have gotten through it all. I have too much to be grateful for to waste my energy on things i cant control!

Bubbles!

Gabi has been loving Bubbles lately! she picked up the concept of popping them pretty quickly and gets really excited when they pop. She also gets very impatient when we don't blow them fast enough!

How Cute is that Face! I want to squeeze her cheeks and kiss her big lips all the time!

I think she was on her tippy toes for this one! Trying so hard to reach the ones up high!

This is one of my Favorites because she got brave enough to start reaching with both hands! She rested against the couch a couple of times but for the most part she was standing all by herself! The only time she fell over was when she was reaching so high and arch back to far to pop the ones that went over her head that she tipped over. but she got right back up and didn't let it bother her.

I think we will continue to do for the great Physical Therapy she gets from it! The reaching, the balance, and the muscle strength she is building is awesome! Practice makes perfect and the more confident she gets the faster she will want to walk!

I love this little girl more and more everyday! There is nothing I would change about her and its like Christmas morning every day when I see her smiling face! I seriously have an obsession with her, a bit of an addiction to say the least! But how can you not, just look at her! I have said it before and I will say it many times again....          I AM ONE LUCKY MOMMA!!!

MAY!!!

Its been a while I know! May is always such a crazy month full of fun! Gio turned 29 on May 7th we had a pretty easy going fun day together. We went to Rodizio Grill for lunch with his mom and sister, then we spent the rest of the afternoon as the family together. His birthday present this year was 2 boxes of Mexican bottled coke, the J-LO cd and an I OWE YOU for his new Iphone... he has to wait till our upgrade first! ;)

The next day was Mothers day and so we were able to celebrate his birthday with our family that day too.
Gio's "Mexican" cake... it tasted much better than it looked!
Mothers day turned into one big Celebration! I graduated UVU!!! Yeah!! Gio had a birthday, My niece Adri had her birthday on the 4th, my brother Ryan passed his third year of pharmacy school, my sister shyann had lasik surgery and no longer needs her glasses! My Mom got a new job, and of course it was Mothers day! I love any chance I have to spend time with my family so the more celebrations the better! I truely have the greatest Mother! I love her so much and becoming a mother myself I understand her and appreciate her even more.
My Mom and her Grandbabies!

Gabi Helping Grandma Scott open her gift for Mothers day
My mom and my mother-in-law are always putting others needs before their own, they both use their day off of work to babysit Gabi! How selfless is that! Being a working Mom I know that must be a huge sacrifice at times, even though i know how much they love her, I Really do appreciate them and all they do. It makes leaving Gabi that much eaiser knowing she is with the ones that love her most.

For Mothers day Gio bought me pots and plants to have a patio garden on our deck we are attempting (i say attempting because i have never tried to grow anything in my life) to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, jalapenos, and strawberries. I love fresh garden veggies so Im keeping my fingers crossed that they grow well! so far so good, We have only had one cucumber plant die so we are doing alright for now! haha. Gabi Loves the plants and if the door is open she is out it as fast as she can... she has only had one mouthful of dirt so far!
I turned 27 on the 19th of May. I had the best birthday!!! i met my mom and sister Brittany for lunch at Mimis Cafe and then we spent the rest of the day together shopping! I needed a girls day out so bad and it was perfect! Later that night we met up with the rest of the family at Brick Oven for dinner.I felt so spoiled just having everyone come out to dinner and then Gio made me open my gift....He bought me an IPAD!!! and I Love it! Im still getting to know how everything works and we play solitare and angry birds way more than we should but I know it will be a great thing to have. Gabi Loves it too! she is totally into technology its pretty funny.
Gabi even turned around for the picture! what a good girl!
Memorial day weekend ended up being a little disappointing because of the weather, I really wanted to go to the cemetary but didnt want to take Gabi out in the rain so we didnt make it, Ive been meaning to go anyway because my Grandpa has his headstone up and its been awhile since ive seen my other grandparents graves. We did have a nice family dinner on sunday and we were able to go to a movie that saturday. We used to see every new movie we wanted on opening weekend, since Gabi came along that is something we rarely do any more, even though she is an angel when we take her, its one of the only times I can get her to fall asleep in my arms!
So far June is treating us well. The weather is warming up and I am so ready for it to be summer. I am not a huge fan of the heat but I know Gabi will be so much fun this year. I cant wait to take her swimming, go to the zoo, i plan on lots of walks to the park, popsicles, flip flops, and summer clothes are always so bright and cheery!
I also started doing Weight Watchers again and I have really enjoyed it so far. its only been 1 1/2 weeks but I have stuck to it, havent had any major craving for junk, and ive had more energy and felt better already. Im ready for the change and I am determined to loose weight before Brittany gets married in august! I want to feel better, be more active, and have more confidence all around.
I know that sometimes I have justified being overweight like I am fine with it, I am to a degree, I know Gio loves me the way I am and I feel comfortable with myself but I want to be able to be active and healthy with my kids and the way i have been going that was not going to happen so heres to change!!! Wish me Luck!!!

~ Easter 2011 ~

I LOVE EASTER!!! It's almost as fun as Chritmas! and of coarse the real meaning of both holidays are very dear to me. I have felt the atoning sacrifice of our savior so many times in my life but I especially feel it when I look back at what we have been through this past year. It gives me such comfort and stregnth knowing that he knows my fears, my sorrows, my joys, and my pain. There is no one that knows how I feel more than him and I know that I can go to him with anything no matter what. I feel so blessed to have an Angel in my home who also gives me stregnth and the will to always try harder, and be the best that I can be. Last Easter Gabi was still in the hospital so we missed out on all the fun but we did get some good Easter pictures of her in a bunny outfit!

Gio has never really had an Easter celebration tradition so he was really apposed to the bunny costume in the hospital until he saw how stinkin adorable she was in it! I think that this is still one of his favorite pictures of her!
Usually every Easter we do what we call "Eastering" which is basically a hot dog roast in the mountains with potaoto salad, Mac Salad, cupcakes, and much much more. we have been horse back riding, fourwheeling, and shooting in the past. This year it was really cold, I wanted to go but Gio was working and taking Gabi out in the cold by myself didnt sound to fun... the only brave ones to actually go was my sister Shyann and her family, they roasted hot dogs in the snow! no thanks! I really wanted to do something though so my sister Brittany and her Fiance Dakotah came over and we colored Easter Eggs! It was so much fun and we got some really creative eggs!

Britt and Dakotah

Gio thought that coloring eggs would be dumb... he had the most fun I think! he is holding up his self portrait egg!

This is the finished product! it was perfect until he bumped me and blue dye tipped over all over his egg face... He screamed out.. "My Egg!!!!" he was so concerned about his egg being ruined that he didnt care about the blue dye running all down the table and onto the floor! Dakotah laughed so hard because he had never seen Gio move so fast to pick up his egg!

The finished product! We gave most of them away cause we could never eat 3 cartons of boiled eggs by ourselves if we tried!

I was in charge of the cupcakes to take to the family party this year... the Neon food coloring is awesome! I love how bright and cheery they turned out! Bring on Spring!!

This year we didnt have a lot of money to spend on an Easter Basket and a new Easter Dress so I used a dress that she had never worn that my Grandma had given me for my baby shower, I think it worked perfect! We regifted her birthday sandals, and filled her easter eggs with gerber treats and goldfish! She didnt know the difference and she had a great time with the eggs and grass! Everything else I got on sale really cheap and I filled the basket really full with grass so it isnt as full as it looks!

She Loved shaking the eggs!

and playing with the Easter grass!

Giving Mom and Dad Kisses!

She discovered the treats in the eggs!

"YEEEESSS!"

Ready in her "new" Easter dress! She looked so cute!

Look at how cute her shoes are! They are still so tiny and they look so cute on her little feet!

I LOVE this picture of her giving Gio kisses! She looks like Terk the gorilla giving her daddy gorilla kisses!

This is my nephew Dominic.. what a cute little bunny he makes!

Easter Egg hunt!

Yeah for pink eggs!

Ready set goooo.... There were so many eggs!

It was sooo cold!

Checking out all their eggs!

The Duck Waddle! They had to run with a balloon between their legs! The winner won a dollar... Jace held his balloon between his legs and took off! When he "won" he put is hands in the air doing his victory dance and yelling "oh ya, oh ya, oh ya!!!" it was so funny!

This is the Easter Egg rolling contest! whoever made it to the bottom first won!

We also did a Easter Bunny coloring contest! They all won on this one in some way and when we were done the boys wanted to know who the "real" winner was! They are some competitive kids!

She was so so tired by the end of the day...

WE had a really good weekend overall and I can't wait till next year! Gabi will be able to run with the best of them and maybe understand what is going on a little bit more! HAPPY EASTER!!!
