I turned the big 28 on May 19th, I honestly forget how old I am all the time! I feel like I'm still 21! Time flies! I have been out of high school for TEN YEARS! Holy Cow! The older I get the less I care about my birthday, either I am maturing, or i just don't want to think about my age! This year my birthday was fairly low key, I was able to spend it with my family and that was better than any gift I could receive. I did get a pretty fun gift though! Gio bought us both beach cruisers!
We had talked about getting bikes and looked at a few different ones but I really didn't plan on buying one. Gio had it stuck in his head. and wanted to surprise me with them on the morning of my birthday. I had a feeling he was going to get them because he kept asking me questions about bikes! The night before my birthday I was picking up Gabi from his moms and he called me. he said he was done with work but needed to stop somewhere and pick something up. I told him if you are planning on buying bikes not to because we couldn't afford it and I would rather have a mountain bike... He went silent and I knew he was totally heart broken! He said "who told you! I already bought the bikes I just have to pick them up!" he was pretty upset because I totally ruined his surprise. He told me he planned on waking up at 3 am and sneaking them into the house with a big bow on them! I felt really bad, but I fell in love with them! It is a really cute bike!
We got a seat for Gabi to ride in too! she likes it but hates the helmet we make her wear! She likes to smack my but since its right in her face!
On the day of my birthday we went to lunch and did some shopping, Gabi was so tired! She fell asleep right when we got to the mall and woke up when we tired to get her out. She would not go back to sleep. She wanted to get out of the stroller and run around and was not happy that I made her try on shoes! I had money from Christmas to buy running shoes and i was determined to find some that I liked, I love my new lime green Nike Free! they are super comfy, the only problem is I don't want to get them dirty so I need another pair to wear to work! ha ha!
I couldn't pass up the hot pink and lime green Nike free for Gabi too! They make me so happy because they are so dang cute!
We took Gabi to the Disney store to help calm her down, she was glued to the TV because Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was on! I let her wander around until she decided to try and bolt out of the store and run away from us! Little stinker!
She was out the second she was in the car! We let her sleep for a while in the car. It wasn't long enough! she needed a 4 hour nap that day i think! she was not a happy camper!
She felt a little better when we gave her some Slurpee...but was not happy to share!
We ended the night testing out the new bike! Gabi wasn't feeling it because of exhaustion but has learned to enjoy it!
The next day we went over to my sisters house for dinner, they had just got back from Disneyland and bought me this cute iPhone cover and some delicious Mickey Mouse coconut patties! I ate the entire box in about 3 days! so addicting!
Right before we got home from having dinner with them I got a phone call from an unavailable number, I answered it because it was late and thought it may be important. whoever it was said hello twice with a really creepy voice and then hung up, it was a little freaky because it was right when we pulled in to go up to our apt. I had that weird feeling that someone was watching us and Gio was freaked out! he checked all the rooms in our house and made sure to move his bike in from of the door in case someone tried to break in we would hear them because it would tip over the bike! ha he also took a big kitchen knife with him to bed so he had a weapon! He was more freaked out than me! made me laugh!
Overall it was a great birthday and I couldn't have asked for anything more!
