The King of POP!

For anyone who knows me or Gio very well We are HUGE Michael Jackson Fans. I LOVE him! Today is a tragic day in our house because we lost our Idol. He has influenced music and dance more than anyone ever has. He is truly a legend and has inspired so many great artists. Gio and I were so excited to go to London in January to see in live in concert. We knew that it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a legend. We stayed up pretty much all night to buy tickets and when we actually got them we were exstatic! We couldn't believe that it was really happening. When I heard the news today of his passing I was in shock and I didn't believe it for a while... you could say I was a bit in denial. I still feel like I'm in a dream a little bit. Needless to say we won't be going to London anymore, and we will never have one of our larger dreams come true, but we still have his music and memories of how amazing he is. I hope that now that he is gone that the world will remember him for the genius he was and for what he has done for the entertainment world and not for how "strange" is was or how "weird" he looked. It says alot about an artist that is known in every part of the world and is idolized by many. Michael You will be Missed... God Bless the KING OF POP!!!

It was alot of work to plan for that many people... but it was SOOO much fun and I love spending time with my family! It makes me appreciate my Mom so much because she puts on stuff like this all the time. I was soo exhausted and every muscle in my body aches from the loading, hauling, preparing, and the lack of sleep! It was a great Birthday celebration though and I can't wait until next year to do it again!!! Hopefully everyone who couldnt make it can be there next year!

Glitter Toes!

I was painting my toenails last night with my new hot pink polish, and Gio wanted my attention... he asked my to paint his too so that I would pay attention to him! He first chose red, green, and white because he wanted to show his Mexican pride, it looked like christmas so he switched to this cool blue and silver with glitter on top! He's such a nerd and will probably kill me for posting this!! I love you Gio!!!

Needless to say I fell asleep and smudged my toes afterall... I need to paint them earlier in the day!!
PS... My toes aren't that fat! My house was so hot last night that my feet were swollen!

Getting Closer!!!

So we have met with a loan officer and a real estate agent and we are getting close to making an offer!!! We have to get a few more things put together and we will be good to go! I hope it all works out so we can invite you all over for dinner!!! I have felt really good about this place and I know that it will be a great investment for us. Keep your fingers crossed that it all goes through!!! I can't wait!!! I'll keep you all updated....

My Birthday Present.... I Hope!!!!

So Gio and I have really been contemplating on whether or not we should buy a house this year. There are awesome incentives like the low interest rates, and the potential $14,000 We could get back from the government for FREE! We have been looking just for fun and I keep going back and forth on whether I would like a house or a condo/townehouse. I like the idea of both. With a house you have a yard, and you can do whatever you want to it. But the houses in the price rage we want to spend are tiny, old, and I would want to redo everything... so they wouldn't be in the price range I want anymore! With a condo/townehouse I don't have to take care of a yard and all the outside matience and I still have the luxary of painting and remodeling the inside if I choose to. Working at Home Depot designing Kitchens I have grown to have very expensive taste and If it doesn't look good, or if it looks cheap I don't like it! It's horrible I know. It also doesn't help that I am married to a man with Higher taste than me... He just doesn't know as much about houses as I do.

So today Gio and I decided to go take a look at some new Condos in Springville. They are really close to the freeway (which is good) and also Wal-Mart (which may be good or bad! we like to spend money when we go there..) I really like them They did a good job with the kitchen, which I am most picky about because I know how much it is to remodel. It is three bedroom, two bath and has alot of upgrades. The best part is that is only $155,000 and I wouldn't have to remodel anything! I really like it the way it is, paint and all! I don't want a huge payement and I want something new because I don't trust people. I think that it would be a great starter home for us and its big enough for at least 2 kids! The only thing I would change is the living room is a little small but there are so many other things that I Love that I can't complain. This place is Luxary compared to my ghetto apartment now! There is a list a mile long of reasons why I want to buy this place sssooooo bad... Let me know what you think and if you think it is a good idea....
Here are just a few reasons...

1. I would have a dishwasher!
2. I would have a fridge that would be big enough to fit my groceries, and that wouldn't leak water and then freeze everything.
3. I would have a countertop big enough to actually prepare food!
4. I would have a washer and dryer!!!
5. I would have neighbors I can actually talk to!
6. Gio and I would have our own sink to use in the morning
7. There is an extra toilet so we can both use the bathroom at the same time!
8. We could have a BBQ to use (There is a private Balcony!)
9. There is Central Air and Heat... No more portable AC'S!
10. Assigned Covered Parking...
11. No More Loud Mexican music waking me up on Sunday mornings... I hope!
12. Extra Storage
13. New carpet... Ours is really gross
14. Big Bedrooms!
15. I can fit a Kitchen Table!

The List goes on and on and on... I could go on for hours but at least you know where I'm coming from! I really want to buy it but we'll see. I'm also a little scared... You never know what could happen. Its a big step and for us it may be a Leap! I'll keep you posted!

It's Been Awhile.....

So its been awhile since my last post... life at the Scott house has been crazy and I can't believe it's April already. We only have 3 weeks left of the semester...THANK GOODNESS.... then we both start summer school! I really want to finish asap so that we can start a family. I'm hoping that summer classes go by quick at least. I feel like I have no time for anything. My house hasn't been clean since Christmas, I have neglegted my health because I never feel like cooking or working out, and We have been aweful about going to church every week. I need a whole life makeover! I'm ready for it because right now I feel like I'm living in chaos. Maybe only taking 2 classes will help as apposed to 5. I think that the stress has brought on allergies that I have never had in my life, and they are miserable. I hope that they never come back! Anyway I feel like I'm venting a little but at least you know a little more about what is going on around here and hopefully in a few weeks I'll have more time to keep things updated.
