We had our traditional Hiatt Christmas Party at my Moms this year. We had a good time seeing all the Jepsons so i thought I would share some of the cute pictures I capture that night of course they are mostly of Gabi!

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving this year was with the Hreinson side of the family and it was a good time! So good in fact that I don't even have any pictures to show for it! The only picture I could find was this one of Gabi and Adri the morning after our Thanksgiving sleepover at my moms! The food was of coarse amazing as usual and it was a really chill relaxing day. We did go to Wal-mart for black Friday shopping and since they opened at 10pm it was even better because I didn't have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn! We decided to sleep at my moms house again because she lives closer to all the stores and the wal-mart by her house last year was super chill. I thought this year would be the same but I was sadly mistaken. This was the craziest I have ever seen Wal-mart! but it did die down fast because everyone dashed out of there so quickly. We got a few things but nothing too crazy. I love a good deal but we really don't need anything electronic or anything else for that matter so I went more to find other people presents at a good price. half of what I bought I took back ( like I usually do!) because i found something better later. Gio loves the craziness of crowds and gets an adrenaline rush out of it. I don't mind it only because I go expecting the craziness. Shopping on Black Friday and working on black Friday are 2 different ball games though. Working retail I usually have to work most holidays and black Friday is the worst. I sale appliances so delivery dates are weeks if not months out, people return things like crazy, product goes on back order which makes customer angry, and we deal with the aftermath of stupid greedy people until after Christmas is over. Working retail has made me hate people! and it has also made it so that I would never treat an employee or person the way some of our customers do. I love Christmas time and the feeling of love and giving it brings but i also see an evil side to people that is greedy, selfish, lying, and demanding. It still blows my mind! I am so thankful that I was taught to have good morals, and character and to care about others, because there are way to many people in the world who could care less about anyone else but themselves. Someday I won't have to work retail and I will be able to enjoy the whole holiday once again!

Happy 4 Year Anniversary!

Gio and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversay on November 3rd. We both had to work that day and we decided to not do anything big this year. I had bought tickets to see the Michael Jackson Immortal Tour cirque du soleil show for the end of the month and thought that could be our anniversary present to each other. Although we have only been married for 4 years we have been a couple for over 8 years. I can honestly say that I love him more and more each year we are together. There have been many ups and downs and hard times but they have only made us stronger. I can not imagine being with any other person. There are definatly times that I want to strangle him because he can drive me crazy but as he would say I would miss that part of him if he changed and hes probably right, a little bit!

Gio is the best dad to Gabi, he is so protective and wants the best things possible for her. He also is so patient with her and gentle. When he does get mad at her it actually shocks me a little bit, but he feels so guilty afterward that he has to apologize and hug her and his heart turns to pure mush! Gabi already knows how to play him and Im afraid she will get what ever she wants out of him!

Gio is also a great Husband he is very caring and always shows me how much he loves me. I keep telling him that he would show me even more if he would keep the house clean and picked up but for some reason he doesnt believe me! ;) he gives the best hugs and kisses and I take them for grantide sometimes because im too caught up in our busy life, Im working on being better at accepting his love for me even if i think its inconveinant at the time. I am so lucky to have someone who loves me that much and I need to be better at embracing it! Im working on that one!

I feel so blessed to have my family for eternity and know that as long as we live our life to the best of our ability we will be together forever. I take my temple covenants very seriously because I love  my family more than anything. I thank God every day for giving me a loving husband and the most amazing daughter. He knows our needs and he has given me the most incredible family. I love you Gio and Gabi and I'm grateful for you in my life! Happy Anniversary!

Trick-or-Treat!

I worked on Halloween and I actually dressed up in my Pumpkin outfit! (only because it was an excuse to wear sweats to work!) I wasn't planning on taking Gabi trick or treating or even doing anything on Halloween but then I felt guilty because even though she doesn't know the difference I did and I needed to have pictures to prove that I am not a boring mom! I still really really wanted to have her wear her red glitter shoes so at the last minute I made her a Cat outfit! I just put her in black clothes cut up an old black scarf that i never wear and TaDa... Cat ears and a Tail!

Playing in Grandmas Halloween Candy! We took her to my Moms house because she has a perfect little circle to trick or treat in, just a few houses but enough to make me feel like we did it!  

She is so dang cute! and look at how cute those shoes are!

She loved Trick or Treating and I am so glad we took her! Most of the houses just left bowls of Candy on the door step which is OK by me!

This was at my moms friend Beth's house. Beth has become one of Gabi's favorite people and She often visits while my mom is babysitting on Thursdays, she gave Gabi lots of goodies and her favorite thing was the glow in the dark bracelets! she was in heaven!

We went over to Gio's Parents next so they could see her in her costume, she loves her cousin Dominic and they often give each other hugs and kisses!

Haloween Parties

Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. I'm not really one who likes to dress up but if i have a reason to I will try and at least find something. I do love dressing Gabi up though because she is just so dang cute! I had my heart set on her Being Snow White  this year mainly because Her hair is the perfect little bob cut and i have the cutest red glitter shoes with a small heel on them and i needed an excuse to use them! I found the perfect snow white costume on toys r us.com and at the time it was 40% off... it was still $20 but I had received a $20 gift card for buying diapers so i really wasn't out anything. I went to order it and it went back up to full price.I was so mad. all the other Disney princess costumes were still on sale but the snow white one had to go back up in price LAME!!! I held out and kept checking but it never went back on sale so I decided to use her pumpkin costume from last year since she really only wore it once for a picture. I found Gio and I pumpkin t-shirts for $5 at Walmart and orange sweat pants for $5 too. I made us a stem hat out a green bandanna and a toilet paper roll! it turned out pretty good and it was the most comfortable costume i have worn to date!

I went to Gardner Village with my mom and sister for a girls day. I feel like every time we do girls day it goes by way to fast. Gabi was one ornery kid this day she wasn't happy with anything and really needed a nap but of course didn't get one! I tried to capture a few shots of her with the cute Halloween decor and witches but she would not smile!

I guess even with a sad look on her face she is pretty dang cute!

I love spending time with my mom and sisters. They are truly my best friends and any time we get to spend together is a good time! I cant wait till we go again!

Pumpkin Carving

Before Halloween I invited Gio's family and my sister Brittany and Parents over for dinner and pumpkin carving. It was a lot of fun. Gio's family had never really carved pumpkins before so they only brought Dominic a small pumpkin to carve. They were having such a good time with it that they carved that pumpkin on both sides, the pumpkin was barley even there by the time they were done!

Here are the finished products minus Dominic's over carved pumpkin! from left to right is Gabi's, Gio's, Brittany's, and Mine! I saw on Pinterest that if you put Vaseline on the cut parts of the pumpkin it will keep it from shriveling up, it totally works! our pumpkins looked freshly carved for over 2 weeks!
