Gabi has had a few sleepovers this summer with Grandma! Mostly because of work purposes. When Gio went out of town last month I had to work all weekend and instead of picking her up late and taking her back first thing the next day it was much easier to just have her spend the night. Gabi was happy she finally got to play with her new Minnie Mouse suit case she got for her birthday! Bought specifically for this very occasion! Sleepovers!
I am usually OK with Gabi not being home at night mainly because its because i work late and have to get up the next day to work early so I don't notice that much. That weekend I actually missed her alot! I was completely alone no Gabi or Gio, just their traces of stuff everywhere! I didn't love the silence and it was very lonely!
The best part about sleeping at grandmas is you go to bed with mickey...
and wake up with him the next day!
my mom was so excited that Gabi got to go to church with her while I was working, and Gabi loved the playroom in the basement! she kept disappearing with the other kids and was caught in here having the time of her life!
Grandma also gets lots of visitors so sleepovers always include extra love from Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and even neighbors! Grandma likes to show off her grand kids!
Up late at grandmas means when you hit the pillow you are out like a light!

When I picked her up grandma had to tell Gabi some more secrets before we could go! She danced all the way home and was excited to get out all her toys! The problem is it was after 11pm!
Thursdays are Gabi and Grandmas day together so there have been a few Wednesday nights that she has spent the night too. She pretty much thinks she owns grandmas house now! She was found in the closet on the top of the foot ladder! She thinks she is so big!
Since Thursday is grandmas day and Gio works late that night we have made it a ritual to meet up with grandpa, aunt Britt and uncle Koda for dinner, It is usually Taco Amigo but we branch out once in a while! i look forward to spending Thursday nights with my family!
Going home from grandmas is not always so fun. To be loved and spoiled and left to rule the roost coming home to rules and mom is really really hard! This particular day was extra hard and there were lots of frowns and tantrums! I guess that's what grandmas are for! Spoiling, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Gabi is all ready in her new PJ's for another sleepover! it makes me happy that she loves to be there, Some of my best memories are spending time at my grandmas, I hope hers will be too!
