Team Gabilicious!....Buddy Walk 2011

We had a great time at the Buddy Walk this year. It was awesome seeing so many familiar faces and also all the people who came out to support such a great cause. I wish they had it more than once a year!

Gabi is still so small that the shirts are huge on her so I made her own again with the Buddy walk logo on the front and our team name on the back!
We started last year with the hot pink leis and decided to keep the tradition going with the hot pink bandannas and flowers! They defiantly stood out!
Our Pride and joy!
Grandma and Grandpa Scott!
Aunt Brittany
Rachel Coleman from Baby Signing Time was there with Alex, Leah, and Hopkins! I love these movies and have helped Gabi communicate with us so much! she knows about 10 signs and picks up on new ones every week! My only regret is that we missed getting pictures with her =(
All the Blue shirts are people! this is just a small portion. when everyone lined up to begin the walk it wrapped around the whole length of the park!

Yeah!!! Proud of our Down Syndrome Kids!
My and Brittany in our matching head bands!

Family Photo! Gabi of coarse is pulling one of her famous faces! such a silly girl!

This is the Browns! Clay, Chayla and Lizzie! She is such a Doll!
Me and Chayla with our girls! Two of the most Beautiful girls in the world!
Gabi has moved from the belly crawl to the Mowgli crawl! its funny! she does crawel on her knees 95% of the time but if the texture of the ground is unfamiliar it is the Mowgli crawl all the way!

Gabi loves us to walk her but she likes to go fast! She literally runs and it is so funny to watch her little legs move so quickly!

This little champ walked or jogged! all the way to the car!

I love this little girl with everything I have in me! I am so glad that she belongs to me and that we get to celebrate her life every day! Each accomplishment is so exciting and makes us extremely proud of her and extremely proud to be her parents. Gabi you bless our lives beyond belief and we wouldn't want you to be anything other than who you are! We love you!!!

Brittany and Dakotah Get Married!!!

Well it's been a month but My sister Brittany married her high school sweetheart on August 9th! I honestly could not be happier that the two of them found their way back to each other after so many years. this being Britts 2nd wedding technachly it felt like the first time because it was so perfect. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and it was incredible to have my whole family there together. It feels complete now and it is so good to see Brittany and Dakotah so happy. They were glowing all day and still are when they are together.
Britt and Dakotah Love Gabi and insisted she was at the temple to greet them She decided to wake up in the night for 2 hours (which she never does) and we had to be in Salt Lake by 8am... it was a long tiring day but she was pretty good considering the only naps she had the whole day was to and from the temple.

Yeah!!! (Gabi loves to clap!)

Happy 1st Birthday Dominic!

This cute little boy is my nephew Dominic! He turned 1 on July 29 and was baptized the next day. I had never experienced a Catholic baptism before and it was a little different than what I am used to but I'm glad that we were able to support him on his big day! How adorable is he!

My sister-in-law Ischia and Dominic waiting for his turn! (there were so many little kids being baptized that day it was crazy!)

Family photo!

Dominic's turn! I thought it was a little strange to be taking pictures in the middle of it, I felt weird about it so Gio took them instead! Everyone else was doing it too, which in a way was distracting. But again it was something I wasn't used to! Mormon baptisms are so quiet I felt like we were doing something wrong the whole time!

I don't know the entire meaning of lighting the candle, mostly because everything was in Spanish, which is another reason why I was distracted and didn't know what was going on. But Gio mentioned that it has something to do with the light of Christ... I don't remember much else!
Gabi and Grandpa Tomas

I love that Dominic is walking because he is still so little! I think he is doomed to be short for the rest of his life!

Auntie Sherron and Dominic! He loves me! HAHA! He runs to me every time he sees me and wants me to pick him up, I don't blame him, I am pretty awesome! ;)

My family with Dominic, he is 5 months younger than Gabi and they are such good friends already! they love playing with each other!

Dominic's Race-car Birthday cake!

He grabbed the cake and the black frosting dyed his hands!

After the baptism we went to the park for lunch and Birthday cake! It was a great day! Even though I didn't understand every thing that went on and it was something I wasn't familiar with I am glad I was able to share this experience and capture the pictures for Dominic to look at someday. I think it is so important to be a part of things like this and it only helped me grow and understand them a little bit more. I think it is important to respect others and their beliefs, I have always had the same respect given in return from my in-laws. We may not always agree on things or have the same belief system but family is family no matter what! Happy Birthday Dominic! We Love You Lots!!!
