Christmas 2010

So its no surprise that when I add a slideshow of pictures it usually means 2 things... #1 Im too lazy to go through the hundreds of pictures to choose... #2 I already added them to facebook so it kills 2 birds with one stone!
Christmas this year was AWESOME!!! There were so many things that made it great. Having Gabi this year gave me a small glimpse of how exciting the Christmas' to come are going to be... she didnt really care this year but she did love the wrapping paper! We were able to stay at my parents new home with my Brother Ryan and his family who were here from Denver. We spent so much time together as a family and that is the very best part about Christmas to me. With all of my siblings here and my family together it felt complete. It was the perfect Christmas and one that I will cherish for a very long time. One highlight was playing Michael Jackson the Experience on the Wii it is SOOO much fun! It makes it a little better for Gio and I as Superfans but the rest of the family had a good time as well and its a great workout! I was also very spoiled this year, gio bought me a new sewing machine and serger and I LOVE IT~ I wish I had a better space in my house to work on all my projects and I wish I had more time to actually work on them! Someday! ;) I Love Christmas Time and I love my Family! Cant wait till next year~

The Gift of Gabi!

My Sister Brittany Made me this book of Gabi for Christmas... It is all of my blog posts from the time I became pregnant with her until now! What a priceless gift! It is one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever been given, not to mention all the time she spent putting it together. Here are a few pictures of it!

One of my favorite Parts was the front cover... she added this poem and it fits Gabi perfectly. I will post it at the bottem so it is easier to read... To all My Friends who have children with Down Syndrome Im sure you will love it as much as I do!

~MY FACE MIGHT BE DIFFERENT
BUT MY FEELINGS THE SAME
I LAUGH AND I CRY
AND I TAKE PRIDE IN MY GAINS
I WAS SENT HERE AMOUNG YOU
TO TEACH YOU TO LOVE
AS GOD IN THE HEAVENS
LOOKS DOWN FROM ABOVE
TO HIM I'M NO DIFFERENT
HIS LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS
IT'S THOSE HERE AMOUNG YOU
IN CITIES AND TOWNS
THAT JUDGE ME BY STANDARDS
THAT MAN HAS IMPARTED
BUT THIS FAMILY I'VE CHOSEN
WILL HELP ME GET STARTED
FOR I'M ONE OF THE CHILDREN
SO SPECIAL SO FEW
THAT CAME HERE TO LEARN
THE SAME LESSONS AS YOU
THAT LOVE IS ACCEPTANCE
IT MUST COME FROM THE HEART
WE ALL HAVE THE SAME PURPOSE
THOUGH NOT THE SAME START
THE LORD GAVE ME LIFE
TO LIVE AND EMBRACE
AND I'LL DO AS YOU DO
BUT AT MY OWN PACE.

I cry everytime I read It! Thank You again Brittany!

PS ... I promise to post about our awesome Christmas Vacation Soon!

I decided I'd better catch up on the blog, so there are updated post that go back to Halloween! Keep scrolling down and go through to the older posts cause most of them are pictures and some of them are way to cute to pass by! ;)

PCMC Christmas Success!

We took up the dontations to the hospital today and it was such a great feeling! I actually felt sick to my stomach walking in because it was all to close to home. It felt like yesterday walking through those doors every day to go see our little princess and walking out with her was another reminder of what a blessing she is and how we are so lucky to have her! I loved this tree at the hospital, I truly believe in miricles because I have one in my home everyday!

This was some of the stuff we took up, We had over 30 pairs of PJ's, and close to 20 blankets!

Cute little flowers and bows for the Baby Girls!

I made all the families one of these boxes full of "HUGS" and "KISSES" ;)

The note we attached to each box...

I made these recieving blankets for the hospital. The ones they use get hammered from all the use, They were pretty easy and I plan on making more to take up!

The PJ's

This was Gabi's Dr while she was there, Robert Digeronimo! He worked miricles and was always so nice! And he always told us how much he loved Gabi, it made it a little bit easier to leave her every night knowing she was loved so much!

This is Kylie, She was Gabi's therapist while she was there, She spent many hours trying to get her to eat!

Kathie Neff, She is the parent cordinator of the NICU, she also has a daughter with Down Syndrome!

One of the doctors admiring our little Elf!

The front desk girls!

This was such an awesome experience and something I want to do throughout the year. I really can never repay them for the miricles they performed and the love they shared with us. Thank you all again to those who donated, I assure you it went to good use! I love the spirit of Christmas and the spirit of giving, I wish it were here all year long!

Christmas Letter...

So when I posted our Christmas Card I hadnt written our letter to go with it yet so here ya go!

Dear Family and Friends,

We wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and update you all about what’s happening at the Scott house! The past year has been one of the best and worst years of our lives! What a ride we have been on! We have been in hospitals more than any person should have to be in there lifetime, watched heartache of loved ones, and seen others struggle with health. Despite all the struggles we have had I can honestly say that the positive things that took place far outweighed the bad.
The birth of our daughter Gabi was the greatest gift I have ever been given. We never imagined that she would change our lives so much. Looking in her eyes each day is a constant reminder of what a perfect daughter of God she really is. She has strengthened our testimonies of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it is an honor to be called her parents. It is overwhelming at times knowing that God has entrusted us to raise one of his chosen spirits and we believe that she was sent here to bless not only our lives but the lives of everyone who has the opportunity to know her.
Gabi is now 9 months old and is the happiest little girl around. Her smile is infectious and her pouty lip will melt your heart! She also has some awesome funny faces she pulls out of nowhere and we wonder at times what she is thinking! She is developing very well and is starting to move around more and more. Early intervention therapists come twice a month to work with her and are always so impressed with her strength and determination. She is a little stubborn, but so are both of her parents, she comes by it naturally! She is the most observant baby I have ever seen. She looks and feels things and watches every move you make. Gabi LOVES music and has learned to dance and “sing” when ever she hears it, its adorable! She also loves playing with her toys and taking baths. She kicks and splashes like crazy; I think we have a little swimmer on our hands! She is a Mommas girl big time and I love it! Dad gets a little jealous at times but he knows she loves him still none the less! She is such a well behaved easy going little girl but can be a little sassy too! She keeps us on our toes and laughing every day.
Gio has been busy going to school at UVU, working at Paul Mitchell the School as a texture specialist, and running his salon Gianni International. He is very passionate about his job and loves what he does. (I think its pretty awesome too that he can do my hair whenever I want!) He is an awesome dad and always willing to help with Gabi. Gio has more ambition than anyone I have ever met. He isn’t afraid to take risks and start new things. He has many goals and dreams that he is working toward making reality. His favorite new hobby is fishing, he became obsessed over the summer and cant wait to go out again.
I have also been going to UVU and should graduate next spring with my bachelor’s degree. I am working at Home Depot still, but I’m working toward being a full-time Mom as soon as possible! I love being a mother more than anything and I don’t want to miss out on anything. I keep myself very busy with creative projects around the house, being a mom, working and going to school. It’s a little chaotic and I look forward to having a lot less on my plate!
I love the Christmas season for many reasons, but mostly because of the memories and time spent with loved ones. It is also a reminder once again of the birth of our savior and the sacrifice he made for us. I can testify of his love for each of us, he has blessed our life in so many ways and I know that he hears and answers prayers. I am extremely grateful for the knowledge we have and that we may be together forever as families. May we always remember the true meaning of Christmas and let it shine throughout us all year long. We Love You All!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Love,
Gio, Sherron, & Gabi Scott

Gabi's Silly Faces!

There is never a Dull moment with this girl! She makes us laugh everyday! She pulls some pretty awesome faces! Here are a few for you to enjoy! Its even better in person!

Peek-a-boo Gabi!

Every time I put Gabi in her crib she peeks out of the bars of her crib, She was extremely tired but was super happy at the same time!
