Las Vegas!!!

Gio and I went to Las vegas last weekend for his Tahitian Dance Competition and we had a blast! They took thrid place in one catagory but they were awesome in all the numbers they performed. One of the highlights was seeing Michael Jackson on the Strip!!! I knew he was alive and Well!!! hahaha... We took pictures with him and he asked us where we were from. We told him Utah and he asked us if we were Mormon... When we said yes he said well let me show you a little secret and he Busted out his CTR ring he was wearing! Not only is he alive he's MORMON!! hahaha! I knew he wouldnt let me done! hahaha jk! It was a great trip and we had an awesome time. I did try gambling for the first time on the penny slots... I SUCK! They make no sense to me at all and I lost every penny I put in. We lost about $30 playing while we where there and then on the last day we walked into Planet Hollywood to use the bathroom. While i was in the bathroom gio put a dollar in the quarter slots and won $50.25!! we made back all we lost plus $20.25!!! I am bad luck apparently but I told Gio that I am just too pure to win at something so evil! hahaha yeah right!

I have video of the performances on my Camera that I will try to post. They are pretty long so it takes forever to upload.. If I cant get it to work I'll try to put them on youtube so you can see! Im so proud of Gio he did a great job!!!

Our Growing Family! & updates!

Last saturday I was having on of those days where you want to lay in bed and feel pity for yourself all day! I don't know why my only explaination is the lack of sleep that I got the night before. Gio is always good at making me feel better, he sent me a random text that day that made me feel so lucky to have him as my husband, here is what he said:

Gio: Babe I'm getting so excited for our new growing family!

Me: I'm glad you are! I love you so much and I love that you are already the Best Daddy! It makes me feel so much better about having her come!

Gio: I know I'm pretty dang awesome! We should have done this sooner!

Me: You say that now until she is keeping you up all night! hahaha

Gio: A little price to pay for the sweet reward of seeing them sleep peacefully and giving them a kiss good night!


How can I compete with that!!! He will defiantly be the patient loving parent which will be good for our children when Im having a bad day! He makes me feel more at ease about becoming a parent... I still have my freak out moments knowing that this will change our life forever! He makes me excited for her to come because he can't wait! He talks about her all the time and he loves to talk to her and kiss my belly! When I come home he tells me that he misses the baby and he has to rub and kiss my belly! I think that ive already been replaced and she isnt even here! haha but I am 100% ok with it! He told me the other day that the baby will be the Princess and that I am now the Queen! Im glad I was at least promoted instead of demoted!! The point of all of this is that Gio is an amazing husband and the love I have for him is growing so much everyday. I have always heard that you look at your spouse a little differently after having baby and Im already feeling it! I picture him holding her and singing her to sleep and I cant help but feel gratitude and love!




Other updates at the Scott house!!

1) We are headed to Vegas this weekend for Gio's Tahitian Competition... (for those of you how didnt know he started dancing with out friends group again and he is awesome!) I will take lots of pictures and I bought a new camera so that I could record some of it too so I will post them when we get back!

2) On tuesday when we get back we will be moving into our new house!!! Yeah!!! I'm really excited to finally get settled and get ready for Christmas and of course the Baby! We will be renting for now until our loan can be finalized but I am ok with that... at this point I don't even care! I'm tired of living out of a suitcase!!

3)I'm really excited for THANKSGIVING!!! I can't wait for all the yummy food my mouth waters by just thinking about it!! Since I've been pregnant I havent had many home cooked meals so this is a big deal!! and of course I'm excited to spend time with the family!

80% GIRL!!!!

So We had our ultra-sound on Monday to find out where we are having. When we walked into the room the nurse told us that we most likely wouldn't find out what we were having because I was barely 18 weeks... I told her that I was actually 21 weeks and she immediatly snapped at me and said that they had changed my due date because my ultra-sound before the baby was measuring small. She also told me that the ultra-sound is 100% accurate. That immediatly pissed me off because I know when we concieved and i didn't know that a national adverage was 100% accurate! Whatever!! The lady was really nice one second and then snappy with me the next. She decided that since we were there she would do the ultra-sound to double check everything. Maybe it was the look of death I gave her! All my tests were normal and still no weight gain! But the real results are that the nurse is 80% sure that

IT'S A GIRL!!!

After she told me that I told her that we both thought that it was a girl all along. She looked at me and said "You can't go off mothers instinct they are wrong all the time" I know that insticts are wrong all the time but she did just tell me that she was sure it was a girl so my instict was right ... man she was annoying!

This picture shows her cute little arm and fingers! The nurse had some good pictures of her full body but said she wanted to do another ultra-sound in 6 weeks and she will give us better pictures then when the baby is bigger.

Gio is very excited about having a little princess! He insisted that we go buy pink stuff! He said he wants nothing but the best for his little girl so he bought her some Roca Wear PJ's and a Baby Phat blanket! She will be a diva for sure! hahaha

A few weeks ago I found this slippers I had to buy them but I wasn't sure who I would give them to... Then i remembered I could buy them for myself!!! They are sooo soft and when I see them I can't help but smile!

This is me around 19 weeeks... (or 17 according to the Dr!)

We have another ultra-sound in 6 weeks to confirm the sex of the baby and to look at everything a little better since she is so small! ( Gio always says "can't they see that I'm mexican.. she is going to be small!" I just laugh cause Gio is not the smallest Mexican in the world! haha) But the nurse did say that the ultra-sound is 100% accurate and she is 80% sure that the baby is a girl so we soundn't have any surprise weiners in 6 weeks right! haha I guess we will see!

The Boogers!!!

Gio and I went to our second Doctors appointment on Wednesday. We were both excited to hear the heartbeat and know for sure that everything was ok and for me that I actually have a growing thing inside me! ( I still have days of denial!) I was happy to find out that I had lost 2 pounds since my last appointment ... I know I know most people think I am crazy but the least amount of weight I can gain the better. I have plenty to go around and this baby is not starving by any means! I gain weight by looking at food so I was really worried that I would gain a ton of weight being pregnant. So far so good but we are only past the first trimester!... any way the doctor talked to us for a minute and then it was time to hear the heartbeat... he couldnt find it through my mighty layer of chubb so he sent us over to get an ultra-sound!! I was happy because not only did I get to see the little Booger... I got to prove to Gio that their really is only one! He has been telling me we are haveing twins from day 1. Here are the Ultra-sound pics, they arent very clear but the heartbeat was strong and healthy! Thats all I can ask for.

Gio said that he saw the face of the baby and he said that it has big lips and a big nose just like him... I'm not quite sure that is the case this early in an ultra-sound ... but whatever maked him feel better! hahaha

The Ultra-sound tech measured the baby and told me that it looked like it was measuring 2 weeks small and that I was more like 12 weeks... I don't think so... unless sperm can survive two weeks before implanting it would be pretty much impossible! haha... That is why my due date says the 26th... I'm sticking with the 10th. One the picture isnt very clear. And 2 Gio said that it didnt look like she was measuring the whole baby. We set our next appointment for the 26th of October, That is when we get to find out the sex of the baby! So far everyone thinks its a boy except me, Gio and my father-in-law... I think its a girl just because my mother-in-law just keeps calling it her grandson, and Gio's whole side of the family has some fear of girls for some reason... They all told me that if it was a girl that I needed to put it back in and cook it a while longer... Crazies! haha j/k no matter what it is this baby will be very loved and it won't matter the sex.

The day of my doctors appointment marked my 14th week ( i dont care what the ultra-sound tech said.. she's no doctor!) That day I also starting feeling the baby move. When I first felt it I didn't really believe it... but then it was happening all day and it has happened ever since. A flopping fish feeling in your stomach... There is no mistaking it for gas or anything else. It really feels like something alive is in there... I'm not going to lie it freaks me out a little and I haven't decided if I really like it or not! ( Does that make me a bad mother?!) It is a little reassuring to know that everything is ok... but it is still really creepy! Other than that things have been going ok. I havent noticed a big change in my stomach yet, and thats probably due to the already existing chubb, but it is getting a little firmer so We'll see what happens in the next few weeks!

FOOD.....

So I really have been lucky with my pregnancy in not getting too sick. I have yet to puke and that is such a blessing for me... I don't do throw up. In fact for the most part I feel perfectly normal. This last week though I have had the worst time finding anything to eat that is satisfing. I now know why Pregnancy cravings are a life and death situation! haha... The thought of food makes me nauseous and it is getting worse. I find that I am gagging down everything that I eat. It can taste perfectly fine in the begining and then half way through it I can eat any more. The crappy thing is that if I don't eat I feel just as gross. I now know why my sister-in-law Rachel called Food a necassary Evil!

For Instance they other day I left for work and didnt have breakfast. I knew I would be starving so i stopped at the gas station and got a muffin and some orange juice. I ate half of the muffin and couldnt eat any more because it was way too sweet. For lunch I decided to get some chicken tortilla soup from Bajio. I have never had it and that was a big mistake it was the worst soup I've ever eaten. Luckily I ordered a taco with it and had something to eat but again I was starving about 2 hours later. After work I picked up a pizza and some breadsticks before I went to school. I thought that if the pizza wasnt good The breadsticks would fill me up. WRONG.... they both sucked again. the breadsticks weren't cooked all the way and the pizza had hardly any sauce on it so it was bland and gross... Gio wouldnt even eat it. So once again I was starving. I went to class and decided that I was going to go get me a Jamba Juice cause they fill me up pretty good. Gio was hungry too so i stopped at Noodles and Co. I ordered some pasta. Then I went and picked up my Jamba Juice. They both sucked as well. The jamba juice tasted ok but it was more like juice then a smoothie. the noodles I got were dry and flavorless. They tasted like they had been sitting out all day. I was starving when I went to bed and I had wasted a bunch of money on crappy food!

I don't usually eat out four times in one day I know you are all probably thinking im crazy! We are staying at my In-laws for a few weeks while we wait to close on our Condo so i havent been grocery shopping much. My Mother-in-law is really good about feeding us whenever we are home and for the most part its not bad but it is almost always Mexican food an sometimes it isn't very appealing to a pregnant women! I really just want to move into our place and buy the groceries that I want. I have been trying to eat fairly healthy (most days are) but somedays it is really hard. Fruit is one thing that I have really liked and I usually always have some kind with me. The last really satisfing meal I ate was garden tomatoes, cucumbers, corn on the cob, and cottage cheese. It was like heaven, I ate it two days in a row but now it doesn't sound good. I wish that there was at least one good thing that I liked all the time so I don't feel like the life is being sucked out of me! anyway this was kind of me venting a little and I know that it could be much much worse so i shouldn't complain too much. It is just a little frustrating and annoying that something that you love so much is now so exhausting to deal with!
