Happy 4th of July at the Zoo!

Our festivities started out on Saturday night. We headed to Provo to watch the Stadium of Fire firework show, (Which wasn't that Great, it never is on the outside! but the company was great and it got me in the partying mood!)

Gabi dancing with her Daddy!

Dakotah and Britt trying to watch the Fireworks with Gabi climbing all over them! She was a little restless because of exhaustion!

Trying to get her to watch, She liked it for a minute!

I love this picture of the 2 of them watching the fireworks above!

On the 4th we headed to Hoogle zoo. We hadn't been in years and thought it would be a fun outing. Gabi did great all day and stayed really happy considering she only slept for about 20 mins the whole day! The above Picture is Gabi with her Grandpa Scott playing in the water!

The momma and Baby Elephant Zuri! so cute!

They had an elephant show that talked all about them, this is Gabi with her grandparents watching

Grandma Scott bought Gabi a ticket to go on the Carousel

Daddy, Gabi & Grandma

She wasn't too sure about the whole thing!

Gio eating his Ice Cream cone... he had 2 of them while we were there... he doesn't even like ice cream that much, but everyone else eating it made him want it too!

Cute little monkeys... But they seem kinda mean!

I'm not sure what this is, it was just posing funny so I snapped a pic!

The leopard... He looked so soft and cuddly, I wanted to pet him!

Tiger! There were 4 or 5 of them and because it wasn't too hot they were at least a little active for a bit!

Peeing right in front of me!

Happy Girl!

Watching the Giraffes

This was the baby!

Gabi and Dakotah! her soon to be Uncle!!!

I Love my Family! We had a blast together!

Someone isn't sleepy at all in this picture!

After the Zoo we headed back to my Mom's house to wait for the fireworks at Thanksgiving Point... we decided we didn't want to deal with the crowds so we sat on the deck in the back yard and watched all the rich people along the mountain side light their fireworks. it was actually really cool and we had a great view!

I gave Gabi these Glow sticks to play with and she was thoroughly entertained!

Thanks for the new toys mom!

Overall it was a Fantastic Day! We enjoyed great food, great company, and had a great time.

Swimming

I was able to take Gabi swimming for the first time this summer yesterday afternoon, and just as I expected she loved every bit of it! She has always really liked her baths and splashing in the water, as shown in a previous post that involved her playing in the water while I am taking a shower! If Gabi hears water she darts toward it!

Gabi loved going up to the spraying fountain toys and letting them splash her, she would get so excited and would squeel with anticipation! she also loved being thrown up in the air and making a big splash as she came down. We will definatly be going back soon!

Gabi meets Porter!

This is Porter, He is one of my best friends, cousins little boy... sounds complicated but its not really! He is about 10 months older than Gabi and also has Down Syndrome! He has been such a great inspiration to me and Gabi over the past year and we have looked to him and his family many times as comfort and advise whenever we have had questions or just peace in knowing that all will be OK! I talk to Gabi about Porter and many other DS kids that I have meet through facebook or blogging and every time I show her pictures of them she lights up and smiles. it almost as if she knows exactly who they are, which she very well could! They all have such sweet spirits and capture your heart, Porter was defiantly no exception!

Can you believe he is "2"! he's just a little guy but has a big personality! and he does everything a typical "2" year does! GO Porter!

I love his little glasses!

They only played together for a few minutes while attempting to put on their PJ's, but I have never seen Gabi so excited or hyper to play with anyone. She is usually an observer but with Porter she was being so social which was really fun to see!

Trying to get them to both sit still and look at the camera was a bit tricky with all the energy they had!

I love their poses... stinkin' funny!

Porter showing Gabi his PJ's!

I wish I got a better angle of this one but he bent down and gave Gabi a kiss! It was adorable! look how polite he his with his hands behind is back! It was soooo good to finally meet you little Porter Ray! Thanks for inspiring us and always putting a smile on our face we can't wait to play again someday!
