Gio's 30th Birthday Weekend!

I took the weekend off to Celebrate Gio's Birthday. It turned into a 4 day celebration! But you only turn 30 once so why no leave your 20's with a bang! Friday we went out to dinner with some Friends Gio chose PF Changs. It was nice enough to eat outside and it was good to hang out with Krysynt and Jr, it doesn't happen often enough!

Saturday I went to a bridal shower for one of my work friends and Gio got to go to cabelas while Gabi and I partied! after the shower we went to eat as a family at JCWs Gabi was so happy to be out with mom and dad and that she got french fries!

After dinner we headed to the store to get food for our big family party the next day. Gio loves his birthday i think more because it is the one time a year he can guarantee we make Mexican Food! Gio made the salsa and Guacamole and it was Delicious as usual!

He loves Tres Leches Cake and I have made it in the past but thought that I would get the real thing at a Mexican Bakery... They wanted $50 for a regular sized birthday cake! Heck No! I made him a pig pickin cake( which is Pineapple and Mandarin Orange)  instead with fresh fruit and it was yummy! Way better than Tres Leche if you as me! But I don't like soggy cake! ;)

Monday the 7th was his official birthday and we started off the morning by sleeping in, and opening his gifts. Gabi was so excited to help she Loves tissue paper!

I had planned on making him a big birthday breakfast Until i looked at my disaster of a kitchen that hadn't been cleaned from the party the day before, so we got dressed and headed to Cracker Barrel to eat!  I love Gabi's Facial expressions!

I let Gabi down in the store part of Cracker Barrel and she took off as fast as she could go turning and swerving through the displays it was so funny to watch her and I about lost her a few times she was going so fast! I found this little baby stroller in the toys and she LOVED pushing it around! She may need one!

After Breakfast we headed to the mall to get movie tickets and did a little shopping while we waiting for the movie to start. Gabi was such a happy girl all day! She was in heaven spending the day with both mom and dad! That doesn't happen often!

Gabi does so well in the movie she loves eating the Popcorn and sitting in her own seat! She also loves guzzling my diet coke! She fell asleep for about 45 mins and watched the rest of the movie giggling and eating her heart out. I think she ate most of the bucket herself! We had to fill it have way through to keep her occupied!

Since it was Gios day he got to choose everything we did and there fore we headed to Sportsman's Warehouse after the movie to spend some of his birthday gift cards. I wasn't very excited about  it because stores like this give me complete anxiety!

Gabi and I walked around the store at least 5 times. She was hungry and a little tired from only sleeping 45 mins so me bugging her wanting pictures with Davy Crockett hats on her head wasn't as amusing to her as it was to me! Before we left the store I started trying on some Sanuk shoes... I fell in love and ended up leaving with 2 pairs! Who would have thought I would find something to buy in an outdoor store! haha! although the Camo bikini with hot pink strings was tempting ;) DISGUSTING! haha! It worked out that Gio's Mom gave me my birthday present early (money!) and Gio was kind enough to use part of his birthday gift card to buy me one pair for me! What a sweet husband! Love him!

We stopped and got Gabi a happy meal... I was still stuffed from breakfast and popcorn! and afterward headed to the bike store to check them out. I didn't get any pictures because I was mostly just chasing Gabi around the store! Gio decided that his outing was done and wanted to spend the rest of the night hanging out at home. Except he helped me clean the kitchen and living room first and trimmed Gabi's hair! I started to think that by the end of the night it was my birthday! That was awesome! We really did have such a perfect day together!

Since Gio was such a good husband and it was his birthday we ended our day by cutting Gio's hair! I did the design and neck line but he did the actual fade and cut on himself. He was impressed by my skills though! I have only been watching the best for 8 yrs!

I hope Gio had as good of a day as I did! I love days that we can spend together as a family. It was therapeutic to be together .

Gabi was super worn out! All that Partying did her in and she slept till 10am the next day! I had such a good day I almost felt like it was my birthday! Love You Gio and i hope you had a great birthday! We are so glad that you are in our lives! xoxoxo



Easter Weekend!

We had a Fabulous Easter Weekend! I say weekend because we played Friday, Saturday and Sunday! I took some time off work to make sure I didn't miss out on any fun and I am so Glad I did!

This is our little Easter Bunny from the past 3 Easters! How have 3 Easters gone by already! Holy Cow! She is one stinkin cute bunny though!

Friday we headed up to Salt Lake for a much needed Girls day out! We went to City Creek which is beautiful! Not really my type of shopping, mainly because everything is outrageously priced and super "high end" I honestly wouldn't have paid $20 for 90% of it so the fact they were asking hundreds or thousands for clothing was a bit amusing to me! I guess rich people have to spend their money somewhere... I'd prefer them to make a donation to the Scott Family instead though! ;)

Gabi was such a good girl all day, despite the fact that it was freezing cold and snowing most the day! She is a lot of fun to take places because she is so well behaved and I love pretending that I don't notice EVERYONE watching her and pointing out how adorable she is! Proud Mom right here! We ate at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch and it was packed. Had to wait 45 minutes at 11:30AM! While we waited we went to the Harmon's grocery store around the corner. It was the nicest, cleanest grocery store I have ever seen! The only disappointment to lunch was the fact that they RAN out of STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE!!!! How does the Cheesecake Factory Run out of Cheesecake!!! at 1:00 in the afternoon!!! Crazy!

Mom was being a bit crazy all day! She was happy to be with the girls!

These are the only pictures I have of us... we only got one group shot at lunch and It was on my moms camera, along with many more silly pictures of us!

We laughed ALOT! and it was such a fun day! Gabi was able to sleep for a while but was still exhausted by the end of the day, she didn't appreciate our laughter... I think she thought we were laughing at her! She always gets super sensitive at loud laughter, its cute!

Saturday we got up and headed over to the salon. I needed to color my hair and It doesn't happen often that Gio and I have a day off together and have the benefit of Grandma babysitting Gabi! I wanted to go early enough to catch a matinee showing of the Hunger Games. I read the book for the first time the week before so I was really looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. I really liked it but i want to go again because I was explaining alot to Gio who knew nothing about the movie before seeing it! After the movie we headed to My moms to color Easter eggs with Brittany and Dakotah!

Gio loved his self-portrait Easter egg he made last year so much that he had to recreate it along with the rest of our family!

Poor Gabi was exhausted! She had been teething all week to go along with 2 really busy long days. She snuggled into grandmas bosom and knocked out!

The Easter Bunny Spoiled Gabi once again! She still didn't understand it that much but she did like it more this year than she did last year!

Once she figured out they had treats she was good!

But she Didn't like that I kept trying to take her picture with these dang ears on! But she will thank me someday its become tradition!

All ready for Church in her knew Easter Dress! She knew she looked cute!

After church we headed back to my moms for Easter Dinner and the Easter Egg hunt! We didn't have as many kids this year so these four scored with a TON of Eggs!

Dad helped her most the time, she did really well at putting the eggs in, but she prefers to take things out more so he had to keep an eye on her so she didn't unload them all!

Grandpa Bought a swing so that Gabi could swing at the park with the other kids! She was mad we strapped her in it until he gave her a push and she giggled the rest of the time! She loves Grandpa!

The last thing we did was the boiled egg races down the driveway, Gabi thought it was so funny to chase the eggs down the hill! When she picked hers up at the bottom she threw it over and over giggling like crazy! it was adorable!

Our Family!

I love Easter for so many reasons. The traditions we have made as a family are memories that I will cherish for all my life. I love any time we spend together. I am so grateful for our savior and for the atonement. It blesses us each day and it brings me peace in knowing that We can be forgiven for our sins and return to live with him and our families for eternity! I cant think of any greater gift! I love the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I LOVE my Family! Happy Easter!

Playing Catch Up Again...

So I just posted 3 new posts...I've had them partly done for a few weeks so the date its showing is from when it actually happened! I need to be better at keeping up! I have 3 or 4 more posts that I'll be working on hopefully I'll get them posted soon! Life is just busy! I posted Gabi's B-day, World Down syndrome day, and Gios DIY pedicure stations! Enjoy!
