Chris Hreinson, (Icelander), passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from complications of pneumonia. He was born December 25, 1928 in Castle Gate, Utah to John Christian and Rhoda Thomson Hreinson. He married Marilyn King on July 19, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Chris graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and retired from Walker Oil. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and enjoyed his time as a temple worker.

Chris is survived by his wife Marilyn; four children: Christine (Roy) McQuivey; Craig (Sharlene); Jeff (Lorene); and John (Branigan); 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and his sister, Loa Mae Zaccaria. His brother and six sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Aspen 2nd Ward Chapel, 1485 North 800 West, Orem. Family and friends may attend a viewing Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services.
