Primary Children's NICU Christmas!

So I am first going to apologize for being a complete slacker in the blogging world the last few months, work, school, and mommyhood have been kicking my trash! I am hoping to have more time to update this coming year, but no promises!

Now on to the real reason for this post!

When Gabi was at PCMC almost on a daily basis we had things given to us or donated by other parents that had been there before. I brought an entire wagon full of stuff home from hospital when she was released. I was amazed at the time and effort that some people put forth in our behave and I can tell you first hand it was such a blessing. It wasnt the items themselves that ment so much, it was the fact that someone else out there knew what I was feeling and cared enough to try and make a scary situation better. I promised myself that I would be one of those parents and I want to pay it forward so to speak!
The Drs and Nurses also do such an amazing job and literally saved Gabi's life. I also was blessed enough to have my ENTIRE bill paid for by the hospital, they said they donated their services as charity! WOW! I can't tell you what a relief that was knowing that we wouldnt be financially burdened. I owe them more than I could ever give back, but I want to do as much as I can.

I am looking to collect items from the following list to donate to the hospital. They have 52 beds and usually about 45 are full at all times. I am planning on taking the items up on DECEMBER 15th so anyhting will help. If you dont have time to shop, or have items to donate, money would also work and I will use it to buy whatever items we need the most. This is a list that the hospital gave me as ideas but if you have other suggestions or things you think would work just let me know

-Small toy or stuffed animal for each bed.

-Muffins or other small treats to be given to staff and/or parents.

-One piece SNAP up sleepers to be put in our laundry. (They must be the snap kind so that the monitor cords have some place to go. sizes may vary, not all babies are newborn some have been up there for months, they aren't moved to the infant ICU until they turn 1)

-Blankets to be put in our laundry. (quilts for the crib bedding and also recieving blankets)

-Small journals for parents

-washable mobiles for unit

-small bows and stretchable headbands (for girls) dah, boy childs parents would not be happy if we tried this on their sons!!

-bus passes and tokens are especially appreciated! We can keep them within our unit, use them spareingly

*All items may be used but in good condition, everything has to be washed first anyway. They must be gently used and no stains. Items may be dropped off at my house or our salon, Or I can try to pick it up. Just call or text me, My number is 801-360-5921. My address is 476 w 200 n #302 springville ut, the salon is 274 w center st provo. My email is sh_aka_swan@hotmail.com

I would REALLY appreciate the help. It breaks my heart that these families will spend christmas at a hospital, believe me its a great place but home is SOOO much better! Tis the season to be giving! Thanks again!

oh my goodness!!! What a great idea! I totally want to help! I will try and gather a few things. I have lots of headbands and bows for baby girls, onesies, receiving blankets and a few sleepers. I just hope I will be out that way before Dec 15th!!! (I live way out in Roosevelt) If Im not, I will have my mom drop off some stuff at your salon or something! I would love to get together sometime, that would be so fun. I understand this time of year is so incredibly busy, we can chat whenever... no hurry. I just have lots of questions (and Im sure you are so excited to answer all of them haha)
